We just watched the new film “Where The Wild Things Are” based on the popular children’s book of the same name by author/illustrator Maurice Sendak.
The film was good- but one Wild Thing we really noticed was Ira (voiced by Forest Whitaker). The character in the movie reminded us of our very own wild thing (the guy on the right, duh!?!) Both Iras are very, very loving and sweet. They’re also both not too bright and both have strong urges to eat things they’re not supposed to. Both are also in love with strong furry females: Ira- the wild thing loves fellow wild thing Judith and Ira- the cat loves Georgia of course.
Director Spike Jonze does a decent job bring the ten sentence book to life.

We dog sat for my sister and brother-in-law last weekend. Their dogs had lots of energy! And good job to my brother-in-law he got first place in the marathon on Grand Island.

Ever since Ira returned from his visit to the doctor’s office, the relationship between Ira and Georgia has been very strained and tense. Today the couple has made huge steps in the right direction, they were caught making-out in the office overlooking our patio area. Apparently those long hours of therapy have finally paid off.

(Greetings internets! I’m back from my surgery recovering at home feeling well. Actually I got back yesterday morning but was feeling a bit too loopy to blog [with all the drugs]. Today I’m really feeling good. I also have a new fashion accessory- but I can’t say that I really enjoy wearing it. It’s supposed to help with my recovery, so I’ll suffer through it. Thanks everyone -for all the well wishes!)

Most of the Cat Gymastics staff is in New York City this week: working, playing and blogging. A huge thanks goes out to the Brown Polyester team for watching over the Cat Gymastics headquarters while we’re awhile. Luke’s drumming skills are also pretty amazing, too bad he’s so shy and modest.
